Sihl 3833 Universal Satin Instant Dry

Universal Instant Dry Canvas is a single-side, satin coated artistic canvas with a 1:1 canvas structure for high quality graphic art applications on inkjet large format devices. This product is especially suitable for picture presentations as full color graphics, reproductions of art and photos, where the structure of the fabric is very pronounced and decorative. Coating has the necessary flexibility to avoid cracking when the canvas is stretched over borders. Due to the presence of natural components (cotton) in the base material, the surface characteristic may vary slightly. 3833 is compatible with both dye and pigment inks; archival. Due to excellent light stability and waterfastness, no additional finishing is needed.

Sihl 3890 Universal 340 Matte

3890 Universal Artist Canvas 340 matte is a smart "all-rounder" for most fine art or photo applications and banners.This 20 mil single-weave cotton stretchable canvas has a special water resistant ink receptive coating (pigment inks required for water resistance). 3890 is compatible with both dye and pigment inks and is 100% acid free for archivability. Due to the presence of natural components (cotton) in the base material, the surface characteristic will vary slightly. The thicker coating on top of a multi-layer gesso primer obscures some of the canvas surface texture, but minimizes pin-holes and other surface variability.

3647 is an economic, single-side coated and flexible canvas for high quality graphic art applications on inkjet plotters and printers. Due to the flexiblity, the product may be stretched over borders without cracking. For long-term applications, the use of pigment inks is strongly recommended. Popular applications include fine art, commercial art and "décor" reproductions. 3647 is compatible with both dye and pigment inks and is 100% acid free for archivability. The media may also be sewn and used as a banner. For protection and to reduce the impact of dirt, physical abrasion or other environmental impact, we recommend protective sprays or thin lamination films. Due to the presence of natural components in the base material, the surface characteristic may vary slightly.

Sihl 3633 Mirror Backlit (pigment)

Reverse print backlit film designed for aqueous pigmented inks. Works equally well with aqueous dye based inks. Polyester film with an ultra white diffusing layer produces brilliant long lasting images for lightboxes and other "from the back" illuminated displays..The white, printable side is coated to render complex graphics or photos with high contrast and quick drying time. The product is ideally suited for use with pigmented inks and has been antistatically treated for backlit applications.

Sihl 3832 Backlit Film Reverse Print (dye) 5mil

For sophisticated graphics, use Sihl's 5 mil reverse-print translucent polyester film. Matte on one side and glossy on the other side, the film's ultra white diffusing layer allows reverse or direct print for either finish. Compatible with water-based dye inks and some pigment inks, Sihl 3832 allows you to produce high quality prints with brilliant colors and sharp edge definition. The matte side is designed for mirror-type printing to allow the printing of presentations or photographs for illuminated showcases. The printouts may be viewed from the matte side as well as from the glossy side.

Sihl 3939 Backlit Film Reverse Print (dye) 8mil

Heavy-weight (8 mil) anti-static, polyester film with a matte, single-side, coating. It is designed for highest quality backlit displays in illuminated lightboxes. Translucent coating provides supplemental light diffusion to that offered by the lightbox itself, lending a uniformity of light transmisson across the display. Reverse print allows the uncoated glossy PET film to be mounted in light boxes without external protective covers. Heavy weight lends flatness and resists curl if image is free-hanging.

Product is used for reverse-print backlit on windows and lightboxes. When mounted on windows, image is viewable from either side in reflected or transmitted light. Compatible with a wide range of inkjet printers. Dye inks only for indoor use. Indoor window or lightbox displays where ease of installation is the key. After printing and trimming to size for the intended window, installation requires no special tools or professional training. Peel back 2-3 inches of release liner along the top of the print and affix the top of the image to the window or mounting surface. Continue to peel back the release liner while smoothing the film onto the window. The inherent stiffness of the polyester film, together with the special adhesive, allows a smooth, bubble-free installation.

PRISMA is a 12 mil polypropylene film with a water resistant translucent inkjet layer on the print side, and has a low tack repositionable adhesive layer with release liner on the backside. PRISMA is WeatherPro certified and is ideally suited for picture presentations in light boxes. This product is also suited for areas with high humidity and condensation when pigment inks are used. The low tack glue permits easy removal, even after a long period of time. Compatible with dye and pigment inks across a wide range of inkjet printers. Light and flexible vinyl banner with a smooth print surface. WeatherPro certified. Designed for indoor and outdoor use. Compatible with broad range of inkjet printers, thermal and piezo, dye and pigment inks. Waterfast with pigment inks. 15 mil thick, polyester scrim sandwiched between two vinyl layers. Good tear resistance, but not as strong as 3942. Good opacity, but less than 3942 and 3960. Free hanging indoor/outdoor banners. Can be hung by grommets on the corners, or by 'pocketing' the top and bottom by sewing or use of double-sided tape. WeatherPro coating designed for high ink limit, excellent white point, and good scratch resistance without lamination. Waterfast with pigment inks. 3693 Polypro Outdoor Film 190 satin is a film that is well-suited for indoor and outdoor applications (waterproof when used with pigment inks). WeatherPro certified. TitaniumPlus coating has been formulated for rapid drying and allows for a high level of color brilliance.Banners, posters, signs, decals, trade show and point-of-purchase displays, used inside or out. Waterfast with pigment inks. Won't crack, fade or peel outdoors, without lamination, (min) three months. Lamination or spray overcoat recommended for outdoor use of longer duration, or in applications susceptible to dirt or abrasion. Compatible with some thermal laminates; performance will vary depending on choice of film, laminator and operator experience. Compatible with most pressure sensitive laminates.

Sihl 3918 Tyvek Outdoor Banner 280 Matte

This premium quality banner has been the industry standard for Tyvek. The highly durable waterproof material is perfect for indoor/outdoor banners and graphics. The matte coating is produced on the basis of a polyolefin spunbonded web and is WeatherPro certified. 3918 has a high mechanical and tear strength for high impact color graphic art applications. 3918 is designed for short-term indoor and outdoor signs, promotions, POP displays and fleet grapics with excellent handling characteristics. It has outstanding color brilliancy and allows for uniform reproduction of colored areas. When used as a banner material, fold over edges to reinforce grommets. Apply grommets every 30 inches. Use double-sided tape and do not sew. Self-adhesive grommets are not recommended. This banner is water resistant when used with water-based dye inks but we highly recommend using pigment inks for outdoor applications. To further add durability, printed material should be allowed to dry overnight. After printing you can overlaminate with pressure sensitive laminating materials to increase durability and UV stabiltiy.

Sihl 3988 Classic Vinyl Matte 280 WF

3988 is a white self-adhesive matte vinyl that has a permanent, solvent-based adhesive with a siliconized kraft liner. This calendared vinyl is WeatherPro certified and has "cast like" properties that allow for use as a vehicle graphic; however, not recommended as a full scale vehicle wrap but can be used on flat panels such as vehicle sides and doors. For outdoor durable, waterfast signage and appliques. WeatherPro coating allows high ink limit, maximum gamut, and good scratch resistance. Universal use with dye and pigment inks. Won't chip, crack or fade (min) 3 months outdoor without lamination, and (min) 24 months if encapsulated. Solvent adhesive gives superior adhesion to Coroplast and similar smooth plastic mounting surfaces which tend to give poor adhesion to water-based adhesives. *To achieve 24 month durability, Sihl recommends Neschen UV cold laminates.

Sihl 3972 Syntilux SA Polypro 240 Matte WF

3972 WeatherPro certified is a permanent self-adhesive polypropylene with a matte, waterfast and scratch-resistant Inkjet coating. This product is a "must have" for economical adhesive-backed vinyl. This product is designed mainly for short term outdoor use and is compatible with dye and pigment inks. The water resistant coating gives the opportunity for 2 - 4 weeks of outdoor use without lamination and with appropriate pigmented inks. Lamination can increase the life of the print of up to 6 months and is recommended for extra protection to reduce impact of dirt, physical abrasion or other environmental impact.

Sihl 3878 Pop-Up Display 250 Gloss

3878 Pop-Up Display 250 gloss is a 10mil high gloss polyester film which combines a super-glossy pearl white ink receptive front side with a dead opaque gray pigmented reverse side. Intended for use with dye-based inks, 3878's ink receptor incorporates Sihl's advanced UV absorbing agents with a high ink capacity coating to yield the most vibrant and light-stable images possible for your trade show display graphics. It is compatible with most dye-based inkjet printers and most polyester, vinyl or polycarbonate self-adhesive overlaminates. Perfect for wide format full color photographic printing, e.g. pop-up displays, trade show and exhibit graphics or where the application requires zero light-transmission. Designed for use with dye-based ink systems (waterbased) only. Limitations: 3878 is not water resistant and is not compatible with pigment inks.

For trade show panels it is recommended to laminate with a scuff resistant cold laminate to further increase its stand-alone capabiliity and additional protection (please refer to our additional sheet recommendations of use). Pressure sensitive laminating films have shown the best results.

Sihl 3927 Spectra Photorealistic Matte

Non-cockling, high white graphic art paper. Dye or pigment ink compatible. Spectra coating is designed to give vibrant colors even with reduced ink limit, lowering the cost of output. PE barrier coating on the base paper eliminates wet cockling. Excellent results with both hot and cold laminates after a short drying time.

Sihl 3859 Photo Paper 190 Matte

Sihl 3859 is an 8 mil true PE photobase with a fast-drying matte coating, making it an excellent choice for laminated applications. Designed to permit sharp edge definition and optimal color gradation without any banding. Compatilble with both dye and pigment inks on thermal and piezo inkjet printers. Sihl 3859 has been designed for full color graphics applications, presentations and photo reproductions. To prevent surface damage right after printing, allow the print to dry for at least 60 minutes (for optimal handling allow the print to dry overnight). To overlaminate Sihl 3859, use low-heat activated laminates or pressure sensitive laminates. Using a laminate will not only increase durability, but will also improve UV stability and give the print a high quality finishing appearance.
